New law on anvil for welfare of disabled
The government will bring a new legislation to harmonise the provisions of the Persons with Disability Act with the spirit and principles of the UN Convention, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Mukul Wasnik said Thursday.

'Include dyslexia as a disability while amending RTE Act'

31 disabled protestors held
Thirty one physically challenged men were arrested for protesting outside the muniicpal commissioner’s office by taking off their shirts on Tuesday. The protestors said 20 of them had paid deposits to the corporation for allocation of stalls but only six were allotted stalls.
